The following responsibilities for the Publications Review Committee serve as guidelines for committee operation. These guidelines shall be subject to change as dictated by the President of the Corporation.

Professionalize REACT information material as follows:

  • Publish the REACT’er magazine that is attractive and delivers the message about our mission; to members as well as agencies, companies, and other organizations to which it circulates.
    • Solicit articles for submissions.
      • General articles from all teams, councils and Board members relating to current events, correspondence and or member classified ads.
      • Articles of interest shall include, but not be limited to, Land Mobile Radio systems, Business, Marine, Amateur Radio, GMRS, FRS, MURS and Citizens Band radio of a Technical, Educational, Advocacy, Service and or experimental nature.
    • Solicit advertisers who might want to advertise in the REACTer by direct contact.
    • Return the edited articles to the writers to allow them to question or challenge any editorial decisions you've made.
    • Forward the final draft to the President, Executive Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, the Chairman of the Board and other officers as may be determined from time to time.
  • Develop draft By-Law changes as approved and recommended by the Board of Directors.
  • Develop draft Policy changes as approved and recommended by the Board of Directors.
  • Develop draft Procedure changes as approved and recommended by the Board of Directors.
  • Review any and all other printed and/or audiovisual materials published by or for REACT International, as directed by the Executive Officers, to ensure that the contents are accurate, professional in appearance and style, and useful to members. Work with other committees may be required.
  • When requested, review Team and Council materials.
