PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE
The following responsibilities for
the Public Relations will serve as guidelines for
operation. These guidelines are subject to change as situations may
warrant.
- Write national media releases for RI and distributes to maximum amount of
national media outlets after approval.
- Suggest signs, banners, posters, emblems, bumper stickers, printed
materials, etc. for distribution to members and public. After proper approval, Committee may be asked to implement ideas
if necessary
- Secure, maintain and update REACT advertisements in magazines and catalogs.
- Create a system whereby all Teams and Councils can easily access Public
Relations materials of various forms for local use.
- Support Team and Council efforts in public relations efforts.
Getting out the word regarding a volunteer
organization is no easy task. Added to the challenge is the fact that members
who work with the Public Relations Committee are also active volunteer members of their respective
Teams.
Marketing and advertising are the two primary targets. The Committee issues Press Releases on behalf of the
organization, gathers information of interest from Teams and
Councils, and exchanges information using the REACT-L
e-mail listing server and other similar systems.
Committee members also provide assistance to other Teams, create and distribute recruitment information, and search
for news-worthy items from members for publication possibilities.
For additional information, please contact the
Public Relations Committee at the
e-mail address above. Changes and additional information will be published
as it becomes available.
Do you enjoy two-way radio
communication? That is the single, most important prerequisite to
membership in an organization with Teams in every state of the United
States. But, it doesn't stop there. Our name
"says" and we "are" an international organization
