Iowa REACT Council welcomes you to the 2002 International Convention.

The convention will be held July 15-18, 2002 and the location is the Holiday Inn Convention Center, 6111 Fleur Drive, Des Moines Iowa. Click here for more hotel info. Room cost for up to 4 persons in a room per night is $75.00 including tax. Room prices will be in available from 2-3 days prior to 2-3 days following the convention. This rate will be available up until 3 weeks prior to the convention and guaranteed by credit card. After that time, this rate will not be guaranteed. Call the Hotel reservation desk (direct for Des Moines) at 1-800-248-4013.

Pre-registration deadline is May 14, 2002, and the convention registration fee is $65.00 for those staying at the Holiday Inn and $90.00 if not. After May 14, convention registration is $75 and $105 respectively.

Special Drawing for Early-Early Bird Registrations

The Iowa REACT council is offering ONE free convention room from July 15-18. If you get your registration fee in prior to Jan 31, 2002, you will be eligible for a free room. All pre-registrations will be placed into a bin and one will be drawn out. That one will receive their free room upon arrival and check-in.

Other Information

Should you need an ATM, the hotel has one but only accepts Shazam cards. Within a block there is a convenience store that has an ATM that accepts any cards.

If there is enough interest, Amateur Testing will be provided.

Tours are being set up for the NWS dopler site at Johnston IA for those interested. Please indicate your interest in this tour on your application.
